Your heart will call you home to South Dakota

To cities, towns, and quiet country lanes,

Embrace the earth and sky of South Dakota

Amid the soaring hills and rolling plains.

We welcome trav'lers home to South Dakota,

Where seasons change and neighbors lend a hand.

How blessed we are to live in South Dakota,

To know the grace and glory of this land.

This is a land of mighty storms and gentle summer showers,

With fields of golden waiving wheat and simple prairie flowers,

A land of silent snowy nights with frosty dawns aglow,

Where laughing waters fall and flow with room for dreams to grow!

We welcome trav'lers home to South Dakota,

Where seasons change and neighbors lend a hand.

How blessed we are to live in South Dakota,

To know the grace and glory of this land.
